An extensive spectacular custom renovation! This renovation was essentially a new build within the existing footprint. Additions included a balcony off the master bedroom, nominal square footage to the upper level, new front gables and roof lines as well as a new gabled front entrance and decorative post. The interior of this four-level home was gutted and new floor plans - including new wall placements, windows and door openings - were created for each level and room of the home. The newly designed main level floor plan features a nine-foot-wide staircase of three steps as well as a nine-foot-wide arched window, which accentuates this massive great room with the custom kitchen as it’s focus. The lower level was also extensively redesigned to create a sensational adult retreat:  custom rounded bar with a custom routered design, wine cellar, Billiard’s room, 3 TV’s, a fireplace, a card table, club chairs, surround sound and elaborate task and accent lighting.
In addition to the above,  the scope of design work included all millwork layouts and elevations, the selection of all interior and exterior materials, finishings, and fixtures, and finally, all soft furnishings, custom furniture, and accessories.
It was an amazing experience to work with the esteemed and knowledgeable  contractors as well as with the absolutely incredible homeowners to bring their dream home to life. A huge thank you to all involved as well as to all trade workers and suppliers,  who helped make this project one of endless elegance.

Set on a private estate sized lot and offering views to the City of Vancouver, this lovely home received an "update" renovation by McCabe Design & Interiors. New paint colours and flooring throughout, a new feature fireplace wall with custom built-ins, the removal of a few walls, increasing the ceiling height in the dining room, new lighting, the removal of a fireplace in the office, and simplifying the coffered ceilings in the kitchen and family room resulted in a more sophisticated and elegant home for the new owners.

This 1960's rancher in North Vancouver, B.C. underwent a whole home renovation (gutted) on both the interior and exterior resulting in a traditional and elegant home for this 3 person (and dog) family. There were no additions to the home. Rather, both the main and lower levels were redesigned to provide open concept living and views from the kitchen, living room and dining room, as well as a recreation room and office home with a separate entrance down. New materials were specified for every aspect of the home for both the interior and exterior. Features include: Dekton porcelain tile countertops by Cosentino in the colour Sirios (black), Bianco Venato porcelain tile from Bordignon Marble & Stone and produced by Eiffelgres, Italy, for the island, marble accent tile for the pot filler and picture frame tile behind the range, hardwood floors by Kentwood, a Laundry Shoot, ceasar stone countertops in the bathrooms, custom millwork throughout, new lighting plans, new windows and appliances, and various soft furnishings and accessories.

A Country Estate's Master Bath

RUSTIC ELEGANCE & OLD WORLD CHARM — the perfect mix of old and new. This serene, spa-like master ensuite was designed with old-world charm in mind. In a relatively new home that has all the nostalgic appeal of a country manor, this master ensuite retreat compliments the exterior facade as well as the combination of antiques and traditional furnishings throughout the rest of the interior. 
A barn door with rugged hardware, an antique chandelier, a rustic vanity and old world plumbing fixtures, together with school house sconces, were paired with much newer elements: crisp white wainscotting and modern grey paint, marble-like porcelain tile, shower glass, a modern toilet and an elegant free-standing tub. All of these are showcased by a wash of light from a picturesque window.

Charming West Vancouver Cape Cod by McCabe Design & Interiors

A Charming Cape Cod Home in West Vancouver underwent a full renovation and redesign by Tina McCabe of McCabe Design & Interiors. The homeowners wanted to keep the original character of the home whilst giving their home a complete makeover. The kitchen space was expanded by removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room, adding French doors off the kitchen to a new deck, and moving the powder room as much as the existing plumbing allowed. A custom kitchen design with custom cabinets and storage was created. A custom "princess bathroom" was created by adding more floor space from the adjacent bedroom and hallway,  designing custom millworker, and specifying equisite tile from New Jersey. The home also received refinished hardwood floors, new moulding and millwork, pot lights throughout and custom lighting fixtures, wainscotting, and a new coat of paint. Finally, the laundry was moved upstairs from the basement for ease of use.

Edgemont Village

Tina McCabe of Mccabe DeSign & Interiors completed a full redesign of this home including both the interior and exterior. Features include bringing the outdoors in with a large eclipse window and counter on the exterior, cloud white shaker cabinets, walnut island, glass uppers on both the front and sides, extra deep pantry, honed black grantie countertops, and tv viewing from the outdoor counter.

A lovely and spacious new home. Project specifications included new dining room table, hutch and bench seat, rearrange furnishings, personalize laundry room through the use of bench seat, custom upholstery, pillows, mirror, and wallpaper, paint colors and accents for family room and living room.

A modern fresh white bathroom in cool white grey and light blue hues. The space was enlarged visually through a vaulted ceiling. Light white colors enhanced the feeling of space.

Seaside Project

This lovely cottage by the sea includes both the main residence and carriage house for additional guests. Projects specifications for the main house included a complete redesign of the master bathroom incorporated a comfortable easy going seaside ambience and cool seaside blue greys. The main bathroom redesign incorporated a new vanity, bead board, travertine floor tile simulating the beach, and paint. Project specifications for the carriage house included a complete redesign of the exiting space with a large new shower and bathroom, tiled entry, carpeted bedroom and plenty of room for guests. The ambience for the carriage house was beach themed colors and the tiled entry allows plenty of guests to come and go from the beach, a stone's throw away. 

Cresentview Project

Classic ktichen! The wall between the kitchen and dining room was removed as well as another wall extending into the existing space. The result was a lovely and functional open space in this bungalow.

Belloc Project

The installation of this lovely white shaker kitchen with stained graphite colored island and barn door like wood planked hood fan is almost complete. Stay tunned for actual photographs. Current images are autocad drawings and 3d renderings.
